The short version: this is a free, educational estimating tool — not financial, tax, legal, or retirement advice. The numbers it shows are illustrations based on assumptions you choose and on public rules that change over time. Before making any real decision, confirm the figures with the official sources and a qualified professional. Use it at your own risk.

Not professional advice

This tool does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or retirement-planning advice, and using it does not create any advisory or professional relationship. It is a self-service calculator for general educational and informational purposes only. Nothing it displays should be taken as a recommendation to take — or not take — any particular action, including when to retire, when to claim Social Security, how to invest or withdraw from your retirement accounts, or whether to buy or surrender any insurance or annuity product. This tool also sells nothing — it runs no ads and has no affiliate, referral, or sponsorship relationships, so it earns nothing from what you decide and has no incentive to steer you toward any product or provider.

Estimates, not guarantees

Every figure is a projection built from the inputs you provide (salary, balances, ages, growth rates, and other assumptions) and from published rules and tables in effect at the time of writing — Social Security bend points and wage indexing, IRS contribution and tax brackets, state retirement-income tax rules, IRMAA thresholds, Medicare and COLA figures, and similar. Those rules change, your inputs are estimates, and future inflation, investment returns, and laws are unknown. Actual results will differ — often materially. No accuracy, completeness, or outcome is promised, and the calculations may contain errors.

Verify with the official sources

For any decision that matters, confirm the numbers directly with the authoritative sources, which always govern over this tool:

For decisions involving large or irreversible choices — claiming age, lump-sum or annuity offers, pension survivor elections, Roth conversions — consider a fee-only fiduciary advisor or a CPA who is paid for advice rather than for selling a product.

Independent & unaffiliated

This is an independent, privately made tool. It is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or reviewed by the Social Security Administration, the IRS, Medicare, any government agency, or any financial institution. Program names such as Social Security, Medicare, 401(k), and IRA are used only to describe what the tool estimates.

No warranty & limitation of liability

This tool is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author shall not be liable for any loss or damages of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, this tool or its output. Your use is entirely at your own risk.

Voluntary support

This tool is free to use. If a “tip” or “support” option is offered, any payment is a voluntary gift, is not a purchase of the tool or of any service, is not required to use any feature, and is non-refundable. Supporting the project does not entitle you to advice, support, or any particular result, and does not change any part of this disclaimer.
